I'm thankful to have a new story called "Wolverine" in the latest installment of New Yinzer Fiction. This marks my second attempt at writing from a female's point of view. The first is here.
A character who wants to be called Logan. A distinct hairstyle. Mutton chops. White wifebeater. Jeans. Boots. Sound familiar? Yes indeed. The inspiration behind this story is none other than one of my all-time favorite characters: Wolverine from X-Men.
I like Hugh Jackman as the iconic character. The X-Men trilogy was pretty good--not without its flaws, of course--though I never saw Origins. I first became a fan of Wolverine from watching the '90s cartoon series, which has a great theme song:
The end of the story is sorta, kinda based on this illustration, which I dislike because I like Wolverine much more than The Hulk:
Still, Wolverine lives to fight another day.
I revamped the blog recently. At the top, as you can see, there are tabs. I cleared much of the right-hand column. It was too cluttered. I think it looks a lot better and is easy to navigate.

Congrats on the pub!
I always appreciate strange masquerading as normal, and Worm is a good nickname.
Yes to awesome theme song.
Still want to see a movie w/ Gina Torres as Storm.
@ Hunter: Thanks! Funnily enough, I used to torment my younger brother by calling him Worm. I altered its meaning in the story, though.
@ Tim: One of the finer theme songs in existence. Gina Torres guest starred in a few episodes of The Shield--in season five and/or six, I believe. I liked her in those.
We are *so* glad to have "Wolverine" at NYF!!
Thanks, Savannah!
