Bread and Breakfast

Classes resume on Monday, August 27, which means my summer vacation is almost over. I haven't blogged in a while, and I thought I'd break the silence by listing, in no particular order, some things I did this summer:

-- ate an elk burger at Bub's Burgers and Ice Cream in Carmel, IN

-- bought new albums from Agalloch, Deathspell Omega, Gojira, Nachtmystium, Tourniquet

-- saw Russian Circles at the Vernon Club in Louisville, KY

-- pre-ordered [PANK] 7 and Pear Noir! 8

-- read a bunch of books, including Murakami's 1Q84

-- saw The Amazing Spider-Man (B-), The Bourne Legacy (C+), The Dark Knight Rises (B-)

-- diagnosed with pityriasis rosea

-- didn't get much new writing done, but I did revise several stories and submit them

-- had a story accepted by Paper Darts

-- bought and played Mario Party 6

-- shot some guns

-- got a lot of sleep: too much, in fact, if there is such a thing
